Great times in St. Louis

St. Louis has been really great lately. First, the weather has been perfect the last 3 weeks. Lots of sunshine and nice temperatures. Second, we have been out on some really fun outings the last few weeks.

We had a great time at Busch stadium checking out the Cardinals. The kids love baseball. We went early and watched some batting practice up close. The kids favorite part was staying up late and watching fireworks when they hit a homerun.

We also went down to this ranch south of St. Louis with a big private lake. It was beautiful to get out of town and into the country. Plus the fishing was great. The kids caught a bunch of fish, but the catch of the day was the cat fish. We baited him with powerbait, hooked and let him run for a while and slowly brought it in. Nothing like a big slimy fish.

There was a 'light up the night' balloon show at Forest Park, which was really cool. These hot air balloons would simultaneously light up at the sound of the horn. It was really quite a sight.

A and D had a great time at 'Arthur at the Park'. They got to meet a lot of the pbs characters. But as you can see S was not as thrilled about the whole experience.

Last, but not least, the zoo is always a good outing. We had great time with the baby giraffe and tigers, plus the carousel and train ride.

Um, sounds like you aren't missing ANY of your old friends, with all those fun things to do. Can't wait until we can afford to visit!

Soooo fun. That fish is huge. I so hope you didn't eat it. I heard they are very hard to clean. I am really looking forward to your offering up of S today. I really wish we were close I would have been right over to relieve you. You need a sister close.
